ZenWare
Released october 2022
Project Demands
- Developing a complete product within 2 weeks.
- Designing a game that didn't rely on a unique control scheme.
Noteworthy Contributions
- I did all the gameplay and UI programming myself.
- This includes making 5 unique microgames, a way to transition between them, and a scorekeeping system that runs throughout.
- I made all art and animations myself.
Developed Skills
- The layer mask used by the game circle gave me further practice with how masks can be used in design.
- Syncing the background music and the gameplay allowed for some audio programming practice.
- As each microgame existed independently, they were each a good test of robust programming.
Project Description
ZenWare was made for a 2 week-long game jam during my first year of university.
It was made in Unity with C#.
We were asked for games with a simple method of input, so I based my submission off of the WarioWare games.
Out of the 39 submissions, ZenWare came 2nd and 3rd in the two major categories.
